This past weekend, due to the rain, I had a moment to get to the "studio". It felt great.
When I don't create something for a while, it takes me a bit to get in the groove. Therefore the first half hour was spent doing some cleaning and tidying. The space constraints versus stash ratio was stacked heavily against me. lol
Time to get down to business. I was in a Halloween mood, so I went with it.
Over at the EWV Yahoo group, the newest challenge is to create something creepy, freaky, Halloween-ish, or just plain weird. I usually don't have an issue with any of those, as you well know. lol. The one prerequisite is that you use at least one Studio 490 stamp, of course. So, here's what I came up with:
Probably should have reconsidered the angle. Thought I was being creative with my photography. lol. Anyways, SHE WAS A FREAKY LITTLE THING. Honestly, I never thought I would use that stamp, but here it is! Perfect! My base is a tag, of course, inked used the wrinkle free distress (used lots of metallic stains, too!). The spider web was embossed with white powder, of course. I was just about to stamp it with black, and stopped just in time...I thought, what the hell are you thinking? Spider webs are not black! Whew! Dodged a bullet there!
The big spider is Tim's die, painted black, and then stickled with Black Diamond.
The bug on her face is Wendy's, yes. I used some Clearly for Art to make a set of dimensional wings on top of the normally stamped ones.
Both the sentiment, lips and eye have glossy accents applied to them.
I had Ver Day-ed a tag a while back,

and had wondered what I was going to do with it. I've also been wanting to use Tim's Apothecary stamp set, and thought I could combine them both. So I did.
I like the way it turned out. Note the blood drips...the little Studio paints, with the little tips, are perfect for squeezing out blood drips. The color is Dash of Red. Perfect! The bones behind the skull, you ask? They came from this stamp..I got it at Stampaway two years ago...
Yeah, it's a skeleton stamp where all the bones are separate, so you can piece them together and do cool poses. lol. You knew I would buy it, right? I think it is Lost Coast Designs. He's just chillin' watching me work. lol. Stay tuned for more fun poses.
Thanks for stopping by!
