The theme at Hels Sunday Stamper is Buttons. Once again, I'm combining the two challenges.
Speaking of the CCC, I was the random winner of the prize package! Woohoo! How cool is that? I was terribly excited about that.
Ok, this piece is pretty grungey. Lots of texture, thanks to Viva Ferro in the Iron Oxide color, and of course the main piece is grungeboard, showcasing the technique for the CCC. I loosely interpreted the weathered wood grunge, as you will be able to see. I'm having trouble determining placement and/or the addition or subtraction of items. I just couldn't pull off a major decision today. So, I've taken several pics, and you can tell me what you think. If you think I should start over, let me know that too. lol.
Specimen 1, buttons on right
Specimen 2, only addition here is a metal corner, top left
Specimen 3, buttons on bottom
Specimen 4, buttons on top
The buttons are made from black UTEE, from a mold I made of a vintage button I have. Then I rubbed some Inka Gold from Viva, Old Gold color on top. The bird is from a mold using Tim's adornment (bird, obviously), and bronze UTEE, with more of the Inka Gold on top.
Then of course, you've seen the bookplates with Tim's stamp inside, covered with Glossy Accents.
For the grungeboard, I used Copper paint dabber.
So, that's about it for this installment of "I've kinda made something but I'm not sure what it is", tune in tomorrow for possibly more of the same....lol...
Thanks for stopping by!

36 watcha thinkin'?:
love them all but I think #2 is the one for me :O)) Thanks for joining in with the Sunday STamper... and CONGRATS on winning the prize goodies! x
Congratulations Lori on winning the fab goodies.
I like them all, but agree with Hels on number 2. Annette x
Love it, Lori!!! After enlarging all of them twice and then the first 2 a couple of more times I had decided on #2... and now I see I'm the third person saying that... However, if I hadn't seen 5 different ones, I'd have loved any one you'd decided on!!!!
PS... Congratulations on your win!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!
I'm torn between #2 and #4 - this whole piece is so fantastic!! I'm in love with those buttons. Very, very cool. Congrats on your win!! :-0
I love them all!!! All the grunge and textures...and your little details are amazing...I think #2 is my favorite...but it's so hard to choose!
I'm with everyone else ..#2. May I come play at your house, so I can use all of the wonderful products you named that I don't have? (lol)
Congrats on the CCC win!!
Congratulations on winning the prize from last week's challenge.

CONGRATS on the Compendium win! Woohoo!
Now, for the viewer's choice ... holy cow. I choose image 2. But not firmly.
I might be back tomorrow to choose again. :)
I should have mentioned ... GORGEOUS creation! Really, unbelievable!
I vote for #1. And congratulations on winning over at L3, GF!!
Well, you know, all four versions are gorgeous, and the weathered wood grunge looks FAB-tastic, and the UTEE buttons rock, and the background is amazing.
If I had to choose, I'd probably go with #4, but if you asked me again in the morning, I might answer differently. That's the version my eyes keep going back to.
The real point is, it's a gorgeous work of art! And, huge congrats on your win!!!
They are all gorgeous, but I'd go for No. 2. Congratulations on your win. xx
Well done on your prize! Am still keeping my fingers crossed.... Personally, I love version 4, but your weathered grunge look is wonderful!
another stunner Lori. beautiful piece and love the grunge
Also i wanted to let you know there is a freebie on my dezinaworld blog today. its just for one day.
have a wonderful week
hugs June
You are worrying for naught. All are super but I like them in this order: 4, 2, 1, 3. Can't put my finger on exactly why but I could look at them later and choose differently. Obviously you're doing something right with #2! LOL Oh, now that sounds disgusting...sorry!
I like #2 the best.... Love the Ferro & Inka Gold... haven't played with Ferro yet - just Terra. Will be fixing that SOON. Have a great day, and congrats on your "win" on the CCC drawing. Free stash is the BEST... :)
Hugs, Ellen xx
I like all of them. Does that help??
All three are just lovely! I see no reason to start over unless you want to send these my way and then start over! Teasing you! I'm always in awe and most impressed by your ART! Diann
I also think #2 Congratulations on the win yay! really great project hun
Love Dawn xx
Congrats on your win! I like all your specimens, but my favs are 1 & 2 with the buttons on the right. I think I prefer 2 with the addition of the corner.
I like specimen # 4 with the buttons on the top. Cool piece!
First off Congrats on your win!!! Yea!!!
So, I guess I may have to be different but, I like #3...it makes it very regal with that ornate piece up at the top! At least to my eyes....
Oh this is totally LUSH Lori, i think my fav is no.4, congrats on the win :D
I have enlarged all versions as well, and my vote will be for #4, with #2 coming in as a close second. All are gorgeous, really. Congratulations on your win last week. Free is Fun!!
I like #2 as well :)

Well I am thinking #4! Although with no choice at all, I would have loved any one! Congrats on the win!
My choice would be #1, but can't say why. It's a wonderful piece - the texture is fabulous and I love the grungy colors and feel to it! Very cool technique with the UTEE buttons.
