The Sunday Post..

...yep, unheard of for me. I rarely post on the weekends, just too much other stuff goin' on.  But, I wanted to get a challenge entry done, and I was sorta cleaning the studio this morning, so I went with what came to mind.  And I'm using the word "cleaning" loosely.  But, every little bit helps I guess.  Although now I have to clean again after I made this mess. lol.  Let's get on with it.
The Tag Tuesday challenge is Valentine.  Yes, it's that time of year again.

Ya, I know, the white flourish is a little stark.  My personal challenge on this was to use up some bits and pieces I had laying around.
Details:
The base is the Core'idnations whitewashed paper, embossed with the CB Birds and Swirls folder, sanded, inked with Fired Brick.
You know those samples of die cuts you get when you buy a Sizzix die? Yeah, I don't throw those away either. Note the bird cage, painted gold and the flourish. lol.
Ok, the hearts are cooler in real life. I used some Dicro fiber, gilding, mica flakes and bits of thread under a laminate sheet.  All these products are US ArtQuest.  Put it under a hot iron, then adhered to pink paper and ran thru a heart die. As I said, more sparkly in real life.

Here's a card I made, from the same stuff, that I'm going to enter in the Order of the Opus Gluei Challenge from last week, which was KEYS or HEARTS. I thought I would make it before the deadline, but I didn't. I'll give it a shot anyways.

Needs something in the upper left corner, but not sure what.  A larger sentiment, perhaps.  What can I say, it was getting close to lunch time and I don't work well on an empty stomach. lol
Oh, maybe a fragment? Hmmmm......I'll let you know if I really finish it...
Any who, thanks for stopping by...be sure to tune in tomorrow for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge!

Both of these are beautiful!

I really like the white flourish on the first piece and the second is beautiful with open space leading to the "full heart" portion. :)

Actually even if the Linky thing closed you can always add it to the current challenge!

I really like this too (I just was looking at your Valentine's card), that embossed background and all the elements actually are great together!

Very pretty Lori. I'm usually not into the sweet Valentine stuff (hurts my teeth), but I really like these.

This is really pretty. I like the swirly-pink goodness. Late is not a term we use at OPUS GLUEI. Projects are due when they are done. Inspiration can't be rushed. We know this. Sooooo, whenever you get a project done, just post it to whatever challenge is going on at the time. Now you have time to go back and make up for all the challenges you didn't do. ROFLMAO
