Some Swap Stuff...

Thought I would show you some items I finished for a couple of swaps on the Everything Wendy Vecchi group.

One is a Seeing Red ATC swap, obviously, red is the predominant color, in case you couldn't have guessed that...lol...  I used all Wendy stamps, as I usually do for any swaps in this group.

Actually, the one on the left was an extra I made. I used Verdigris embossing powder for the set of flowers on the left. The middle one is the main ATC for the swap, and the one on the right, I was kind of in a...Teesha Moore mood, I guess...lol... not that I could even come close to her style, but for some reason I just wanted to try dots.
All of the backgrounds are the good ole wrinkle free distress with red and brown inks, sprayed with a Perfect Pearls mix.  Then I overstamped the grid background on point, which I like to do with that stamp, to make diamonds.  The flowers are embossed with Aged Mahogany Distress Embossing Powder, which give a nice texture.  Little birdie is grungeboard with red distress ink and red Perfect Pearls.  They are.. quite..... red. hee
I also am hosting a postcard swap, all stamping, no layers, no paper, no dimension!  I thought it would be a piece of cake, but guess what.. it's not.  Although it is rather freeing to not have to consider embellishments. You really have to think about stamps used and placement.  I brought out the trusty white pen to add highlights and depth.

I used a lightweight chipboard for these, one of the sides was slick and white, must have been some packaging for something... imagine.  So I used alcohol inks on one, and some white paint first on the others, before applying inks.  Wendy's Mail Art stamp set came in real handy for these...lol.. love that hand.  So, a couple of more swaps done!  The postcards I've received so far have been great, I'll try to remember to take pictures for you!
Oh, and as for the Viewer's Choice from Monday's post, it was apparent that #2 was the favorite, with #4 coming in a close second, so I went with #2, and actually glued everything down, just waiting for it to dry..Thanks so much for your honest comments, I really appreciate it.  You know how it is when you look at something for so long, you just get tired of it. That's why I thought it would be good to defer to your expertise....
Thanks for stopping by...here's hoping tomorrow I get to
Go Be Creative!
(although there's an ugly rumor floating around I may be setting up a new printer, lol)..

14 watcha thinkin'?:

Love your postcards! I did not really decorate my backs. Must be old age setting in. Yuck I see the snow starting to fly. It would be nice to receive one of your cards. Hint hint wink.

It's funny how just using stamps and ink can be so difficult! Great job!
